All of them!  Seriously, my wooden spoons.  I swear I can't cook without them.  They don't scratch my non-stick pans.  Food doesn't stick to them.  They don't conduct heat.  They are perfect!

I like my 6-sided grater.  I can grate the potatoes for potato pancakes on one side, get some finely grated onion in there, and then do a little nutmeg on another side.  Can't beat it!

I have a few tools that I can't live without, either, especially those that help me make my Croatian cookies, CVITA (I have a Hub out on them).  This will be a fun Hub to write!  big_smile

Those who bake and love to eat Dalmatian style Croatian cookies (like CVITI and HRUSTULE) know that it's hard to succeed without these useful cooking utensils.  The zig zag pastry wheel is ideal for leaving a finished edge to cookies and pastries.  A knife leaves a blunt edge which is less attractive.  The pastry brush (or any paintbrush) read more

Call me crazy but I prefer to always go simple in my cooking.

Here's what you need for food preparation about 80% of the time:

    - A multipurpose utility knife
    - A fork
    - A pair of tongs
    - A large pot
    - A wide saucepan or wok
    - A cutting board
    - Measuring spoons
    - Measuring cup

    Nice to haves:

    - A blender/food processor
    - A timer
    - A thermometer
    - A mixer

Most of the time you can get away with a pan, a knife, and a fork with a few bowls to put your chopped up food in to be used for prep.  And that's it.  When you think about it having extra stuff in the kitchen can cause chaos.  People who have a problem with this usually are the first people on the phone with the shopping network.

Definitely my OXO Spatula, my cordless electric kettle and my blender.

Oh... and my sister's Kitchenaid mixer.

all that made salsa, smoothies, flat bread and tea yesterday alone.

I love the slow-cooker, it always makes amazing stews and hardly even needs supervision. It's as simple as cutting up a carrot, sticking it in a pot with gravy and then leaving it for four hours, (except I don't think that would be the best I've made)

Right on, Jake.  Pre-soaked beans with a hunk of dried meat, celery tops and some tomato paste makes a great meal - cheap and easy.  I do this a lot in the winter time.  Warms up the house too, LOL big_smile

Who doesn't have a Food Processor doesn't know what they are missing.  They are practical and convenient.  The blades chop consistent pieces, without getting your hands near a knife.  The lid keeps the pieces from flying around, and the whole process takes a minute or two.  Modern food processors have built in safety features to highly reduce the possibility of having an accident.  They are capable of chopping meat, vegetables, liquefying tomatoes), chopping nuts and creaming butter and sugar. read more

I'm in college, so as you can image my meals consist of Ramen, Macaroni and cheese, and many peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches. My parents recently got me a Juicer for my kitchen (to help me get some nutrients haha) and I absolutely love it. One of my favorite drinks  consists of 3 apples, 4 carrots, and 4 sticks of celery. Simply Delicious.
