I am 82 and quite a number of my friends have passed away because of old age ailments. I am not an expert in this field since I am a diabetic and control my sugar level with drinking bayleaf tea.

But, I'm sure that treatment is not the cause of me reaching 82 years. I believe that thinking positively has a lot to do with it. Try to keep negative thinking out of your mind, that will bless anyone with old age. It is not easy to think positively most of the time.

I agree with the positive attitude statement. I have a neighbor who just turned 101, and she is the most positive person I have ever met. She is an awesome lady. Cheers to you for using bay leaf. Cinnamon is also good for controlling blood sugar.

Don't live your life based on the number of candles on your birthday cake, just live your life.  Do what you want to do, wear what you want to wear, surround yourself with people you enjoy.  Don't be overly concerned about the changes you see in the mirror, you're still the same person inside, THAT's the person, the person inside, that should direct your life, not the person in the mirror!

Spiritual grace arises from a loving and forgiving heart.
Soul grace arises from being true to ourselves.
Energetic grace arises from resting well and being sensitive and in harmony.
Mental grace arises from being mentally active.
Emotional grace arises from sharing love and being gentle.
Physical grace arises from breathing naturally and moving in flow.

Good healthy nutrition, don't smoke don't drink alcohol in excess say no to drugs.
Avoid useless drama, keep moving. If your fortunate to have a lifestyle that doesn't require any thought to time the aging process slows down. Go to sleep when sleepy wake up when you naturally wake up no alarms! The days weeks and months that rapidly pass are not all that important in your thought process. Be positive and retain happy memories don't think of the past and especially unhappy or negative past memories. Thinking back to             unhappy or tragic memories in your life will release toxic chemicals and poison the system. Live Laugh and love !!

This is going to sound way off topic, but I've been studying the negative effects from EMFs. That's the microwave radiation that comes from wireless technologies and dirty electricity (electricity that pulses in a certain way).

Turns out that this stuff may be worse for your body and your mind, than chronic smoking!

I think that a part of aging gracefully in the near future, will be to learn about how to reduce exposure to these EMFs, in much the same way we have learned to reduce our exposure to second hand smoke.

I have just recently wrote a hub on this subject. How to improve memory naturally. Among the many supplements listed in this article, there are many more. HGH has been toted as a fountain of youth. As I will be 50 years old this year, I recommend a good multivitamin, a D3 supplement, and B-12. Add to that any supplement that fits your particular situation. Such as progesterone cream, wonderful!! Plenty of sunshine, fresh air, and water. Combined with a good, solid, spiritual foundation.

    Live each day.
Enoy the moments as they come.
Smile a lot and be unabashed at finding joy in the simple, even mundane things in life.
Take pleasure in discovering new things. Learning new things keeps our minds young and it will reflect on our physical bodies.
Go out of your way to do something for someone else. Thinking of others keeps our minds off of  own issues because with age sometimes diseases creep in that make us feel uncomfortable or 'old.' Focusing outward rather than inward helps our lives to be more fulfilled.
Accept that you are not 12 any more but do not become OLD because of a number that says how many years you have been on the planet. Age is such a relative thing. If you think old thoughts and limit what you can do or think you can do because of it, you are becoming old and will affect your own personal well being. Do as much as you can each day...exercise (walking is great), participate, think, create, investigate, explore, and share what you know may at a school.
