The Best Pink Motorcycle Helmets
The Most Stylish Pink Helmets
Pink is an awesome color. Scooters and motorcycles are awesome. Safety is awesome. Why not smash all of these charming things together?
Pink motorcycle and scooter helmets are a great choice for the adventurous fashionista. That said, not all of the pink helmets out there are all that flattering. I've curated the best of the best below. Enjoy!
For Vintage Lovers
If you're into vintage clothing and retro styles, a helmet with one or two vertical racing stripes is ideal.
Also go for open-face styles- full-face helmets did not come along until more modern ages.
Make sure that the helmet you choose is a good fit, and consider embellishing with a pair of aviator-style goggles. As these retro-style helmets are typically open-faced, you might want to do a little something extra to protect those pretty eyes of yours from wayward insects and airborne particulate matter.
For Harley Types
If you're a lover of the open road and films like Easy Rider, I recommend cruiser style half helmets or scull cap helmets. Though they offer less coverage and protection, they're simple by design and therefore classic, timeless, and easy to embellish (should you choose to).
When picking out one of these helmets, consider the shade of pink and sheen that will go best with your bike. If you're riding with your hubby, also consider how you look might jive with his.
For Motorcycle Riders
If you're riding on a motorcycle, chances are you're riding faster, longer, and harder than you would be on a scooter.
With this being the case, you need the protection afforded by a full-face helmet- not just in terms of safety, but also in terms of sun protection, eye protection, and general shielding form the elements (this is not such an important factor on scooters, where the distances rode are typically shorter).
Though full face helmets are often less playful in nature, there are still cool pink ones available. I recommend going with a simple design - avoid all those silly decals and let your personality shine through instead!
For light scooter riders
If you have a scooter that you just ride around town, consider a half face helmet. These are simple and reveal more of your face, allowing you to flaunt your good looks while also affording protection.
When picking out one of these helmets, consider factors such as comfort, fit, color coordination, one's ability to add goggles or other accessories, and the presence or absence of a visor.
Also consider the presence of vents- if you're living in a hot area, they can make a big difference when it comes to comfort, and a lot of half face helmets lack this feature.
For heavy scooter riders
If your scooter is your main mode of transport about the city or town in which you live, and you ride it for decent- or even formidable amounts of time- you might consider a helmet that offers greater protection and coverage.
When riding a scooter or motorcycle for longer stretches of time, wind can get to be quite the menace, hence the addition of a larger visor over a half helmet can make a big difference.
Some visors offer greater sun protection, while others do more to protect the skin from being excessively nipped away at by the wind and airborne debris.
The added benefit of many of these larger half helmet visors is their appearance- those featured here just look plain cool! When selecting a helmet with a larger visor, especially one that is removable, adjustable, or otherwise convertible, make sure that the mechanisms on which it shifts are well built. What's the point of having a cool visor, after all, if it breaks off?
For sporty types
I tend to err in favor of simple, sleek, and minimalist design, however there are settings in which a bit of embellishment is appropriate.
When it comes to the dirt bike-motocross end of the spectrum, it seems to be that some extra design and signage on helmets is the way to go, if simply because it is more the norm in these arenas and one would look like an idiot if one were sporting more urban styles.
Nevertheless, I suggest one stay with variations on stripes or simple patterns and avoid icons and floral designs. Pink and silver tend to look great together, but also consider pink and black, pink and red.
Final Thoughts
As you can see, there are pink helmets for all types of riders.
When selecting your lovely pink helmet, however, be sure that you're considering safety and good fit first, and style after. Nothing matters more than you surviving any sort of mishap, right?
