A Delightful Mashup

Nothing hearkens back to the good old days of fashion quite like gloves, and pink leather gloves manage to mix the romance of kid gloves reminiscent of not only Regency-era assignations but also 1950s Hollywood icons like Maralyn Monroe.

Though you might imagine that the only pink leather gloves to be found are vintage, there are actually new pink leather gloves online for the taking!  What with pink being my favorite color, and leather gloves (especially driving gloves for women - I wear them everywhere - on my bike, while shopping...), I did some research on the options available and have shared my findings below.

Enjoy!

For the Stylish Vintage Vixen

When I saw these open back pink leather driving gloves, I swear I squealed (oh, don't give me that look; I'm allowed to get excited about gloves. You would be, too, if you knew what's best for you).

These gloves have the classic, timeless driving glove.  They'll never go out of style.

The knuckle holes on these gloves are undeniably sexy, plus they have all the wonderful, classic, vintage-style features that a girl could dream of in a driving glove - finger vents, a snapping closure at the back, and Italian lambskin leather.

I'm a vegetarian, and a lamb-lover, too, but I'm considering getting these gloves not only in pink, but also red, black, green, and blue (yeah, they come in multiple colors). If that makes me a hypocrite, at least I am a stylish one.

For the Glamorous Lady

By far my favorite pair of pink leather gloves available has to be this pair of cashmere-lined pink leather gloves.  The style of glove (sort of a women's driving glove, though a bit on the warm side- great for winter) comes in several colors, one of which is pink, but let's be honest, when this bringt hue is an option, do you really WANT to consider anything else? I certainly hope not.

The gloves are well-reviewed on Amazon; reviewers found the leather to be soft and supple, and some shoppers loved the style so much they actually purchased multiple colors.  One thing to keep in mind if you are considering getting these gloves or would like to purchase a pair as a gift - they're best for people with long fingers.

For Elegant Golfers

Pink leather gloves have happily made their way to the golfing world, and this pair of Cabretta nail gloves has a nice, light hue that is subtle but undoubtedly feminine.

Now, I don't golf, and I don't have any plans on getting started on the golf front, but I'm rather tempted to buy these gloves because they have nail slots at the ends, both protecting the snug gloves from tearing at the end and also making for a rather comfortable fit.  One of the few things I dislike about wearing gloves is that I have long nails and they can feel a bit pinched.  Obviously that would not be an issue with these gloves.

For Gals with a Green Thumb

Any gardener will know that the act of gardening is by no means a tame one - if you don't wear gloves, your hands won't only get dirty, but also scarred, nicked, and even blistered (I've learned this the hard way).  This makes gardening gloves a life-saver, and thankfully, there are some really cute pink leather gloves for gardening ladies!

I can't stress the use of gardening gloves enough.  I once read an article somewhere by a purist talking about how much he loved getting dirt under his nails and calluses on his hands, but.... as a lady, I feel rather proud of my smooth, pale hands, and I'm perfectly satisfied to engage in other activities to feel 'at one' with nature.  BASE jumping, perhaps.  But not getting blistered, nicked hands.

For Working Women

Just because you're engaged in hard labor does not mean that you can't show your feminine side.  These leather work gloves are a great way to make tough work a bit more fun and cheery.

The first pair is nice and thick, the second is better for work that requires a bit more of a tight fitting glove.  I'm not a huge fan of the latter's heavy lettering, but perhaps that's common amongst that type of work glove, and let's be honest- there's slim pickins when it comes to women's work gloves.

I'm just happy these gloves are out there!  Every time I've done hard labor (which is the BEST! Digging holes and shoveling manure is my favorite.  No, seriously), I've had to use communal gloves, which are super gross.  I highly recommend getting your own pair, and going with a distinctive color like pink will ensure that nobody snatches your gloves up by mistake (though they might intentionally steal them out of jealousy. Jerks.).

For Snow Bunnies

These aren't leather, but I made a note of this pair of North Face gloves during my shopping research because they look really soft, plus have elastic wrists and nice Taslan over the knuckles and fingers.

Leather is dandy and all, but if I'm going to go out skiing (which would be stressful for a gal like me- the last time I was taken out, nobody ever taught me how to turn so I had to fall flat on my face and pull myself around every time I wanted to change direction), I want my hands to be touching something extra fuzzy and comforting.  Jus' sayin'.

Happy Hunting!

I hope you've found my little guide on pink leather gloves online to be helpful.  I'll leave you with a video of my favorite pink glove cameo in Hollywood history - enjoy!
